Invisalign
Invisalign treatment is a process for straightening teeth using clear, removable aligners instead of traditional braces. Here’s a step-by-step guide to what you should do:
Consultation with a Dentist or Orthodontist
- Find a certified Invisalign provider.
- Get a dental assessment to see if Invisalign is suitable for you.
- Discuss your goals and expectations.
- The dentist may take X-rays and digital scans of your teeth.

Creating a Custom Treatment Plan
- Your dentist will create a 3D digital model of your teeth.
- A series of aligners will be designed based on this model.
- You’ll receive a preview of how your teeth will move during treatment.
Receiving Your Aligners
- Once your custom aligners are ready, you’ll receive them.
- The dentist will instruct you on how to wear and care for them.
- You’ll need to wear each set for about 1-2 weeks before switching to the next.
Wearing the Aligners
- Wear the aligners 20-22 hours per day, only removing them for eating, drinking (except water), and brushing
- Follow the schedule provided by your dentist.
- You may experience mild discomfort initially as your teeth shift.
Regular Checkups
- Visit your dentist every 4-6 weeks for progress checks.
- They may adjust your treatment plan if necessary.

Completing the Treatment
- Once you’ve gone through all your aligners, your treatment is complete.
- Your dentist will evaluate if any refinements are needed.
Wearing Retainers
- To maintain results, you’ll need to wear a retainer.
- Initially, you may need to wear it full-time, then gradually switch to wearing it only at night.
